Why does drive B appear in Windows NT 4.0?

If you have an internal Iomega Zip Drive installed, you may see a Drive B listed in Explorer, but have trouble accessing it as the Zip drive. To solve this problem, please follow the instructions to install the device drivers for the Zip drive, and also setup Iomega NT Tools. The typical drive letter assignment for the Zip drive is D: drive.

How do I install the 2nd hard disk drive?

To install a secondary hard drive, you will need to set the hard drive to be a Slave drive. Refer to the hard drive documentation. After you install the drive into the casing, simply insert the hard drive + casing into the floppy drive bay, and turn on the system. The hard drive will automatically be detected by the BIOS. You may want to disable the floppy drive in the BIOS to prevent the system from searching for the floppy drive.

Why does it take a long time to boot Windows 98 with the LS-120 drive installed?

To solve boot-up problems in Windows 98, please update your BIOS to version R1.06 or later. Go here to download the latest BIOS update.

Why does the system fail to boot Windows 95 with the LS-120 drive installed?

To solve boot-up problems in Windows 95, please update your BIOS to version R1.06 or later. Go here to download the latest BIOS update.

How do I configure the ChipsTV video capture program?

You should be concerned with the configuration of the ChipsTV program only if you downloaded the file from our web site.

After the program has been installed,

  1. Look for a file called "ctmmhw.ini" in the C:\Windows directory.

  2. Open the file with a text editor such as notepad.

  3. Under the section heading [I2CChips], look for a setting called DECODER. For the ChemBook™ 9780, change the value for this setting to SAA7111.

Can I use the ChipsTV program for Windows NT 4.0?

The ChipsTV demo program does not work in Windows NT 4.0. There are no plans of releasing a Windows NT 4.0 version of ChipsTV.

How do I use the TV-out port with an RCA connection on the TV set?

You will need to purchase an optional S-Video to RCA Converter cable in order for you to connect the ChemBook™ 7000 S-Video TV-Out to the RCA connector on your TV Set.

Is the S-Video cable for ChemBook™ 7000M the same as the one for ChemBook™ 7000?

No, the S-Video cables are different for the two models. You can distinguish them by the yellow color of the 7000M cable.
