98.

Video Drivers
Windows 95
- From the Start button, choose Settings / Control Panel.
- Double click on the Display icon, and choose the Settings tab. Click on
Change Display Type.
- Click on the Change button next to Adapter type, and choose Have Disk.
Insert the disk labeled C&T F65550 PCI Driver for
Windows3.1\Windows'95 into the disk drive, and click on OK. Then, choose
Chip and Technology 65550 PCI[new] and click on OK.
- Click Close to return to Settings.
Windows NT 4.0
- From the Start button, go to Control Panel / Display / Settings
- Click on Change Display Type / Change.
- Select Chips and Technology as the manufacturer, and C&T Video
Accelerator as the model number.
- Windows will ask you if you want to proceed. Click on Yes, OK, and close
to return to Settings screen.
- Click on Apply to restart the computer.
- After Windows has restarted, go back to Control Panel / Settings.
- Move the Desktop Area slider to 800 x 600, and select either 256 or
65536 colors.
- Click on Test to test the new settings. After 5 seconds, you will be
returned to the settings screen. Click on Apply or OK for the new settings
to take effect.
Windows 3.xx
- Insert "C&T F65550 PCI Driver" disk into A:\ and run
"setup". Choose default setting.
Audio Drivers
Windows 95
- From the Start button, choose Settings / Control Panel / Add New
Hardware
- Click on Next, and do NOT let Windows 95 search for new hardware.
- For the type of hardware to be added, choose Sound, Video, and Game
Controllers
- Choose ESS Technology as the manufacturer, and ESS 1688 Plug And Play
AudioDrive as the model number.
- After clicking on Next, Windows 95 will copy some files from the Windows
95 CD-ROM. After it is finished, choose finish and restart Windows 95.
- From the Start button, choose Settings / Control Panel / System / Device
Manager.
- Select ESS 1688 Plug And Play Audiodrive, and select Properties.
- Click on the Drivers tab, and choose Update Driver.
- Insert the Audio Drive for Windows 95 diskette, and select Have Disk.
- From the diskette, select ESS 1688 Plug and Play Audiodrive, and click
on OK.
- Windows will start copying some files from the diskette. Windows will
ask you if you want to replace some files. Choose NO to keep the original
files.
- After files are copied, restart the computer.
Windows NT 4.0
- From the Start button, go to Control Panel / Multimedia.
- Click on the Devices tab / Add, and select Unlisted Updated Driver.
- Insert the diskette containing ESS 1788 Audio Driver for NT 4.0, and
type in A:\ or A:\16_1788 as the directory.
- Select ES 1688/ES1788 AudioDrive 2.00.09, and select OK.
- After files are copied, reboot the computer.
Windows 3.xx
- Go into Windows. Insert "ESS Audio Software Drive for Windows
3.1" disk 1/2 into drive A.
- Run a:\setup in Windows.
- Choose Driver Installation, and choose Automatic Board Configuration.
- Choose Install Software.
- When all files are copied, restart Windows.
PCMCIA Drivers
Windows 95
- Go into "Control Panel" \ "System" \ "Device
Manager" \ "PCMCIA Socket"
- If there is a "X" mark on the "PCIC or compatible PCMCIA
controller", then click on Properties and check "Original
Configuration" under Device Usage \ General
- Click OK and get out of System icon.
Windows NT 4.0
- Go to Control Panel / Ports / Add, and enter the following information :
COM Port number 3, Base I/O Port Address 03E8, and Interrupt Request IRQ
5. Insert the Modem card and restart Windows NT.
- After Windows has restarted, go to Control Panel / PCMCIA. You will see
the Modem card identified as the card in slot 0 or 1. Select it, and click
on Properties / Resources.
- Record the resources assigned by Windows NT, and go back to Control
Panel / Ports to make adjustments accordingly if necessary. Reboot if any
changes were made.
- Go to Control Panel / Modem, and let Windows NT detect the modem
automatically. It should find the modem on COM 3.
- After it finds the modem, click on Next / Finish. You may use the modem
now.
Windows 3.x
CD-ROM Drivers
Windows 3.xx
- Insert "TEAC 6X/8X CD-ROM Driver for DOS & Windows 3.1"
into A:\ and run "setup"
- choose the default settings when installing
- Choose Return to Windows when done.
- Insert Windows for Workgroup Disk #6 into the floppy drive.
- Add the [MCI] CD Audio in Windows Control Panel/Drivers.
- Reboot the system.
Mouse Driver
Windows 3.xx
- Insert "Hosiden Touch Pad Driver" in A:\ and run A:\install,
select all the default setting.
IDE Driver
Windows 3.xx
- Insert "UTILITIES" disk into A:\ and run "install"
- Select "3" when prompted, go to menu and select "Install
DOS IDE driver" and "Install Windows IDE driver"
- When finish, press ESC key to get out.
